Your Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form According to Your Zodiac Sign

This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement across the fandom. From the one-by-one reveal of newcomers ahead of the title's release, to players forming firm opinions on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is inspired by a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as always furious, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Similar to a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, each the creature and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will defend their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for treats. Many previous official descriptions note their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Look at this total queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless stream of chatter to anyone who wants to listen. Just like an captivating, sociable Twins, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to predict an enemy’s next moves, which seems very similar to a people-smart Gemini.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

Cancer is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate sign famous for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the creature with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Super Starmie

Well, did you think I was going to select Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being too fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Fans were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Leo brings to the table. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting signals from its center out into space, and it’s typical of a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for aliens.

Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign famous for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised face like a Maiden when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic creature, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – sometimes to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably benefit from Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to stress even more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it became consciousness through pure resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion adores karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a performance. As a Archer myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to predict disasters in advance? That exudes the identical energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. Interestingly, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Aloof element Aquarius is possibly the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category matches seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
