Esteemed Actor The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Parts in Friends and The Middle, Has Died at 60 Years Old.
American actor Finn, who featured in popular television series like "Friends", "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has passed away at the age of 60.
The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in LA recently following treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, according to reports.
"He saw everyone as a friend - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones shared in a message.
They added that he had "embraced life completely - with zest and passion".
A Notable TV Career
His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the brother of the main character.
He also had a repeating character on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, portraying a party host who would assign unpleasant chores to his guests.
In the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on several popular shows, like:
- King of Queens
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- House
He was most recognized for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.
His work in movies are "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".
Off-Screen Life
Away from his acting parts, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.
He was part of a six-member improv team named "Beer Shark Mice".
"Pat coached, befriended and mentored many learners over the years and it's nearly impossible to find someone who has an unkind word to say about him," his relatives stated.
Offering condolences, fellow actor actor Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he posted on social media.
The actor is survived by his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
